>In 1803, the United States purchased the land that encompasses 15 present states and 2 Canadian provinces from France for $15,000,000. The government used $3 million in gold as down payment and issued bonds for the remainder. Now, per the 1792 Coinage Act, the dollar was defined as a ratio of $1.29 per oz of silver. Essentially, the US purchased 530 million acres of resource rich land for the equivalent value of 11,627,907 oz of silver.

>That's about 45 acres for each oz of silver.

Now that the first wave of American economic collapse (foreign govs lending US gov money to fund trade imbalance) has finished washing away our jobs, the second wave (foreign govs directly purchasing property to fund trade imbalance) is washing our land (38% cash purchases!). Assuming the TPP passes, sovereignty goes away too (rights reserved to states and citizens usurped by foreign trade courts). Took more than 100 years for the British Empire to collapse. America will be gone by the next 20 at the outside.

How do we make money at it? Most of the foreign companies doing the buying are either privately owned or state owned. How can individuals buy a chunk of the winners and how do we identify those winners? We can't all just pick up and move to Singapore.
