>1980s, GI generation cracks down on inflation and redirects government tax/spending initiatives towards producing armament and technology to defeat the USSR
>this directly benefits people in their 20s/30s at the time, who were the boomer generation
>boomers feel this is not enough and seize power from their parents in the 1990s using their numbers
>boomers told repeatedly they need to reform the system so pensions will exist, instead they just import immigrants and outsource factory work to replace the kids they didn't have and keep prices low
>decades later the boomers have turned everything into a scam to siphon money from their kids into their bank accounts, so their kids are now destitute in their 40s compared to where the boomers were in the 1990s
The only way it turns around is if the younger generation pulls a clinton and pushes boomers out of power, but any politician who panders to non-boomers is slandered massively in the media.
