Minera Alamos (MAI.v, MAIFF) is now quite a bit cheaper, and that enhances its upside potential for new buyers. The stock closed at C50c, with a market cap of US $174 Million. The buy target is C44c. That would put the market cap close to US $150 Million. Initial production from Santana should be weeks away and the company does have C$18M in cash and C$3.6M in liquid investments. So they won’t need to raise. Recall the company raised capital at the right times and acquired Cerro de Oro, which will be their second mine. In two years the company should be producing close to 100K oz Au/yr and in three years, 125K to 150K oz Au/yr. Buy at C44c and with Gold returning to its high, the potential is 5-fold. The potential in three years is higher due to potentially higher Gold price and production growth from year two to three.
