Countries with garbage currencies (relatively speaking) would be the likeliest contenders to abandon them in favor of crypto before others. At the same time, a lot of these countries don't yet have the infrastructure to make it viable for day-to-day commerce. We're still a ways off from a point where every stand in some 3rd world bazaar accepts crypto for payment.

Something in-between a major currency player and Zimbabwebux would probably be among the first then - a small, developed European country that hasn't adopted the Euro (i.e. Iceland) or a reasonably developed Latin American or Asian country that has the infrastructure to do it. I think Iceland would be one of the strongest contenders - redpilled on bankers (they jailed the bastards last time instead of bailing them out), already mining shittons of BTC, used to their krona being rather volatile and use it to their advantage, etc.

The developed world would probably be among the last to fully convert, though many would probably acknowledge the coming tide and there would be a hybrid economy for some point. I would guess that the biggest players - USD, GBP, EUR, and JPY among others would outlive most.

With that said, it's hard to imagine how big of an impact it would have for adoption if Iceland alone adopted Bitcoin. Just the tourism sector alone.
