Link will benefit, even if normies are retards and think Link is a "DeFi token" and too stupid to realise Link isn't and it just happens to be used by DeFi (a very small usecase for it).

However we can see Chink CZ is even scared of missing the Yield farming crazy now. Link will go into bubble just because some are using it in their vaults. then sending the borrowed asset to the next one and so on.

This worries me because Links potential is much fucking more, but if it goes into a premature bubble from Pajeet farmers, it may peak early, say 100$ really quick and sudden before a marketwide bubble pop for years again. This compromises the slow adoption of Link for 1000$ EOY.

Friendly reminder SWIFT won't even be using Chainlink when it does finally start using distributed ledger technology (which is in at least 4-5 more years by the way).

I've noticed a hell of a lot of new people buying link and asking about it this week and wanted to warn you all. Chainlink is shilled HEAVILY here and so it is very hard to understand, so this background info is crucial.

Basically, a bunch of 4channers tried to force it as /ourcoin/, during the presale ico phase of chainlink there was a minimum requirement of 300eth to enter the presale. Bunch of anons pooled up together and shared presale links to fill them with their eth.

Coin continued to get shilled and pumped up and hyped for the sibios event that link was attended, whole event turned out to be a flop chainlink had a presentation in a room of like 18 people next to the public toilets, literally no news or partnership came from the event and the coin dumped back to below ico prices and created 1000's of bagholder anons.

Now during this alt bull run lots of anons and took advantage of this and shilling this coin to all the new money and newfags that joined in december and don't know this story.

The coin is HEAVILY manipulated and the supply is dried up from huge whales who accumulated below ICO price to create a artificially lower supply (a lot like REQ) and these people have so much room to dump on all of you faggots to still be in profit when the time comes.

The only way for these people to make money now was to shill the coin and do regular pumps with it, but intentionally keep it confusing as hell. Well many anons have finally broken even now. It's very likely that 4chan will move onto a new coin where they can pump from a low (chainlink is too high rank) price to much higher.

Same reason BTC is worth money. I can transfer money to you and the *network* will verify & secure the transaction, rather than a bank or some centralized entity. In the case of chainlink, the value being passed through is valid data and the *network* is responsible for verifying/enforcing the validity/reliability of the data a contract needs rather than some centralized oracle like a mainstream data provider.

If your a financial institution who issues derivative contracts to buyers and pays hundreds of lawyers and accountants, as well as regular security audits at every level of your IT stack, among other expenses (including time), and you can move that whole process to a smart contract living on a blockchain and executed deterministically based on *provably* tamper-proof data inputs provided by a decentralized (read: trustless) oracle network, then..... you'll be saving a lot of money.

When you can trust the process rather than people, very efficient and valuable markets can emerge. Market economies actually create trust between people. They build trust among buyers and sellers. However transactions still require trust of some centralized entity. If we can interact in a market economy using systems that require *no* trust to use, the market only gains.

Chainlink allows people to purchase off-chain data about real world systems and events.

Wanted to share this for anyone else out there that hasn't strongly considered LINK. Read through this carefully, each page, & you'll see why the LINK memes have took on an absurd and transcendent quality. Seriously, read through carefully and you'll realize Chainlink is, in fact, viewed all around (by the big boys) as the leading provider of secure oracle services. Real world companies poised to adopt Chainlink as clients.
