When I was chatting with my broker's derivatives desk he mentioned bonds are marginable right away, vs MM funds taking 30 days to become marginable because they are technically mutual funds. I've never bought a bond before and i cant be bothered to login to the website to buy them right now. For now I'll pay that 0.5 to 1% fee for the fund managers to buy them for me. Maybe after Daddy Jerome tells these goys higher for longer I'll start looking at buying actual bonds. But I'm satisfied with 4.6 - 4.9% for now. Can always pull it
