Ok, so my burnout phase is 2 minutes from completion on my flask which is inside the oven depicted here. This phase is phase 3 of 4. The next phase will bring the temperature down to 1200 F using a fan built into the oven to circulate the air inside the oven and hopefully lower the temp at an expedited but steady gradient. We don’t want too much heat differential which will cause cracks to form in the investment. Same reason you don’t put a hot Pyrex on granite in your kitchen or pour boiling water on an iced windshield.
