It happens to everybody. It's worse if you get lucky when you're a beginner. Gives you the idea that you're a smarty pants trading savant. If that poisonous idea wiggles its way in to your brain, you are going to get fucked so much worse when the time comes. You will continue to recklessly enter extreme risk trades and refuse to book it when they go sour. That is how some beginners lose 90% and quit. Or they get married to a shitstock they originally intended to be a swing trade. Trade goes sour, still holding. Now you're following the news for this dumpster fire and arguing with people about M&A plans and buyout possibilities, earnings beats etc. You'll start cursing the name of those gosh darned bastard shorts holding down your golden goose.
