It's literally in their filing that AMC could release an additional 4.5 billion vote equivalents into the market without permission from shareholders (though they have to pull from a filing from 2013 or something). It is honestly such a clever, asinine and obvious work around that any positive opinion about this could only be bad actors trying to set the narrative imo.

I would like to know the precedent too, maybe I'll just scan EDGAR to see if any hit of 'equity unit' pops up. I'm surprised such unit (1/100 of a preferred stock) could be listed, but then again nothing is illigal in the US stock market anyway
