For people who invested in their own industries, how did you leverage your industry knowledge against your financial knowledge to decide on companies to invest in? My profession is in biotech/health, so I picked biotech companies whose products/research I believed would be successful (and some gambles), but that will likely work against me if biotech as a whole gets hammered.

Now I don't mind rollercoaster rides that much, but things like pic related compared to last week >>295370 make me wonder if I should expect that kind of volatility.
