I have a hypothetical question /biz/, and no this isn't a "do my econ homework for me" thread.

Suppose that there is a Superior Good on the market. It is in demand in several sectors. It is possible to export this good as well. You are the producer of a Giffen Good that competes with this Superior Good in one sector but not in any of the others. You could also export this Giffen Good, but it wouldn't be as profitable to do so at this time. Do you:

A. Try to saturate the market with your Giffen Good in the hopes of forcing out the Superior Good by making export or sale to other sectors more profitable.

B. Avoid the risk because there is a possibility that even if you dump the Giffen Good onto the market consumers will still choose the Superior Good and then you're stuck with goods that aren't moving.

Hypothetically speaking is it a good idea to blow off steam by having hate-sex with the coworker who you butt heads with all day?
