I tried to get my crypto bros to use metals as part of their stable bag (or just dump them into a loan and borrow against them if they must) ... a few did but most did not.

Without delving too into crypto on PMG I will note failure of stables [read: USDT] will teach a painful lesson to those who've failed to grasp "counterparty risk" and how metals are one of the few counterparty-risk-free assets around.
