I bet their budget is tight. Safety Margins of several hundred per month at best. Prolly a few hundred per month. Dunno what state taxes are like there.

Money related stress is a huge contributor to divorce. Let’s hope for the best here.

Some people are comfy with tight budgets. You prolly are too. You make more so you spend more. Excessive savings/surplus gives you anons anxiety?

But maybe they make more than 70k. I sometimes lie about my income and my finances. I downplay my finances because MOST are not mature enough to hear the truth. All they hear is the amount and seldom the habits that got me there. People hate those who make more too. Nevermind the larger contribution I do. Think I somehow stole from them by saving... or not wanting a $60k diesel truck makes me unpatriotic.

They’ll prolly be fine. Mommy can just get a job. Daycare the kids like many unfortunately do... which sometimes removes so much of the gain of mommy working might as well have a stay at home mommy.
Or stay at home till the kids are in school. Then get a job.
