Inflation is an aside. There are approximately .715 ozt in a dollar's worth of coins. For unworn 90% silver coins,
a dime weighs 2.5 grams with a tolerance of ± 0.097 grams
a quarter weighs 6.25 grams with a tolerance of ± 0.194 grams
a half dollar weighs 12.5 grams with a tolerance of ± 0.259 grams.
So multiply that time 0.9 to get the actual silver weight (ASW).
Multiply the ASW by the current spot price to get the equivalent value of the unworn coin.
This is my worksheet. Let me know if you want formulae.
