I'd like to stack PMs, especially gold (open to silver too) but I'm afraid of getting scammed. Can we dedicate this thread to the subject of testing metals? What are surefire methods of identifying precious metals? If said methods require specialized equipment, what is it? Do you have a preferred method of testing? Tell us your experience.
