I believe this is it, now if someone can help my retarded ass wrap my head around this confirmation. If the bridge fee is 0.005 ETH why is Metamask trying to make me pay more than 10x that much?

Did I misunderstand the usefulness of the bridge? Do you have to pay fees on both sides? I'm starting to think I should have just converted everything I wanted on the Avalanche Network to AVAX, sent that across the C-chain, then used PGN to swap AVAX to other assets... rather than trying to send all these assets through the bridge.
