There’s a cryptocurrency quietly putting out a new whitepaper that you all probably don’t know about yet. Frankly I didn’t know about it either until about a month ago, but everything I’ve read about it has led me to believe this is going to be one of the top 10 cryptocurrencies at some point in 2021-2022. Let me tell you about Proton (XPR).

To understand why Proton is a big deal, first you need to take a step back and think about how traditional finance is done. Everything you buy requires that you hand over all of your personal information: credit card numbers, bank accounts numbers, billing information, mailing addresses, you get the picture. We’ve seen countless instances where this has led to disaster - data breaches, malicious employees, etc. But as it stands today, you can’t buy anything without giving up your personal info. It’s a no-win situation.

>How does Proton fix this?
By creating a unique @name system (kind of like an email address), every person will have one “identity” that is used to send, receive, and charge transactions. All a vendor sees is your @name, nothing else - you have absolute control over what transactions are approved and which transactions aren’t. We already do custodial information systems - like giving your personal info to JC Penny’s or Chase Bank. Proton makes it to where way, way fewer companies see your info.
