Well, professional analysts certainly think so. Pic related.

TL;DR: organized crime is set to adopt Monero and push its price into 5 figures.

Depends on what your needs are. Assuming Monero hits its oft-cited $40K projection by decade's end, your potential stack would be worth:

10 XMR = $400K

25 XMR = $1 million

50 XMR = $2 million

75 XMR = $3 million

100 XMR = $4 million

>Lets say theoretically i am going bankrupt or will be away from crypto for a few years. Would Monero be the best place to store my assets? It would be nice to come back to at least a 10x 5 to 7 years from now. What is the Monero price prediction that far out?

If you want the opinion of professional analysts then check out the Satis Group report from late 2018, in their estimation criminal adoption and "unlawful activities" i.e. black markets, tax evasion, money laundering, etc will push Monero upwards of $40K by decades end.

Bear in mind this is a tentative timeline and the current crypto market is too irrational to predict with any degree of accuracy. But their actual reasoning is pretty much spot-on, we are indeed seeing increasing levels of crypto-related organized crime as time passes, and Monero should ultimately reap most if not all of those rewards.

I only use LTC as an actual medium of exchange in places that accept it, including TradeOgre. Why anyone would invest in LTC as a store of value is beyond me. Its tech is just as outdated as BTC, but it doesn't even have the brand recognition that keeps BTC afloat. Just invest in real coins that haven't been obsolete for half a decade.

>Because normies are afraid of anonymity and regulation, so they won't put their money in, so the price won't rise. Whatever benefit can be had by holding monero, can be gained by just swapping into monero temporarily.

Monero's future growth is projected to come primarily from black money influxes i.e. organized crime adoption, NOT institutional capital or normie investors and analysts actually predict these influxes will push Monero's price upwards of $40K by decade's end. Pic related.

You can read the full analysis here: https://research.bloomberg.com/pub/res/d37g1Q1hEhBkiRCu_ruMdMsbc0A

Or look at it this way: worldwide, organized crime generates ~$2 trillion annually. Monero only needs a $184 billion market cap to be worth $10K.

>Have there been any numbers crunched on what the price could rise to if it accounted for say X% of all black market transactions?

Not explicitly but the Satis Group analysis estimates "illegal use" of Monero will be its primary application and project it'll push upwards of $40K by decade's end, give or take a few years.

>People will not start using XMR because of privacy.

Criminals will though, the global shadow economy is valued in the TRILLIONS and criminal adoption of Monero is precisely why some analysts predict it will hit $40K by decade's end. Pic related.

>realistically, what will 1 XMR be in like 10 years?

If certain projections pan out, around $40K, possibly more. It all depends on Monero remaining the premier privacy coin, if it can do that then human nature will do the rest: black markets, tax evasion and money laundering are all inevitable and XMR makes conducting that type of business a whole lot safer.

>just need to know if you really think this will at some point explode and why?

Its not just us, many professional analysts consider privacy to be crypto's killer app in future and as the premier privacy coin Monero is perfectly poised to become to go-to crypto for black marketeers, drug cartels, tax evaders and money launderers. Pic related.

And since the amount of money in play here is in the TRILLIONS, its not difficult to see how Monero might end up receiving influxes worth hundreds of billions of dollars over time, and it only needs a $184 billion market cap to be at $10K per XMR.

>What is suicide stack bag? Want to start from suicide then build my way up to make it stack.. thanks for info fags, i appreciate it!

Depends on what your needs are. Assuming Monero hits the oft-cited projection of $40K by decade's end, your potential portfolio would look like this:

10 XMR = $400K

25 XMR = $1 million

50 XMR = $2 million

75 XMR = $3 million

100 XMR = $4 million

So as little as 10 XMR might make a decent suicide stack, 50 XMR is quite comfy and 100+ XMR is solid make it territory.

>Where do these numbers come from? Asking for a very turned on friend

Projected future XMR value. The general expectation here is that criminal and underworld adoption of Monero will gradually inflate its market cap and eventually push its price into 5 figures, potentially six.

So, if we're going to be conservative, the lowest 5 figure price is $10K. If $1 million is your cash-out goal then you'll need 100 XMR to make it.

The standard will always be BTC/ETH/LINK/XMR. Everything I do is to obtain more of them. Being sensible in shitcoins is how I went from 11 ETH to well over 40. That ETH is then spread. ETH is the truth.

>What would you do if it gets banned and the price drops like crazy?

Narcotics were banned and prices didn't drop. Scarcity = higher prices. In Monero's case, a ban would mean an admission of XMR's reliability, which would actually make it even more desirable.

In any case, atomic swaps make the prospect of outlawing Monero irrelevant.

>Alternatively, if doesn't get banned, what price are you expecting it to reach in 5 to 10 years?

Read the Satis Group projection. In their professional opinion illegal enterprise will push Monero to $40K by the end of the decade, give or take a few years.

>Can it replace Bitcoin

In a sane market, it would since BTC is non-fungible and vulnerable to governmental blacklisting, not to mention everybody can see your balance and trace your blockchain history. They keep bolting on fixes but at a certain point it just becomes easier to use Monero.

XMR = BTC but actually good.
