I can’t tell you how many times ChatGPT has saved my ass in a pinch. I work in engineering. This happened to me a few weeks ago. Have to replace some 40 year old valve that is critical to the operation of a multi million dollar facility. I have no information, no tags, no identification or part number, only a brand name etched into the metal. Tell ChatGPT the brand name and what the valve does. It immediately spits out the specific model number, tells me this old company was acquired by a new company and tells me where I can order a new one that has the same specs and pressure ratings. A bunch of business execs were freaking out because the plant was down, not even the expert engineers could find any info on this fucking valve that ChatGPT pulled out of its ass in 30 second. I have no regrets making an account.
