tru dat.
First heard abt btc was at /g/ back in 2010 when people still mining with their laptops.
First buy was in 2021 at the motherfucking top.

Before 2021 I was ambivalent at best on the whole crypto idea

I'm Canadian. So for me, as soon as I exercise I will owe income tax on it (comparatively to its FMV). Unfortunately since we're not public I can't sell it to recoup the income tax. So I have two choices

Choice 1
>Exercise now, pray that we go public (100% certain we will desu)
>pay income tax on diff between FMV
>If we go under, I owe taxes on something I can't even sell
>any further increases will be taxed on sale of the stonk, and only 50% of the capital appreciation will be charged as tax rate
>can only move stonks to mine & wife's TFSA when we go public, at which point all further appreciation would be tax free
>overflow will not be tax free

Choice 2
>Exercise later after public, pay 100% of income tax on the appreciation comparatively to the exercise price, including the further gains today
>However, can sell stonks immediately and have 0 chance of being "underwater"

With choice 1, I can save some money on taxes. However, I COULD get fucked by taxes really hard. Not worth risking IMO, even though we're a rocket ship at this point. What if we get bad press due to a giant outage or security breach for example.

>It'll get there cause the world and U.S is opening up more day by day.
Korean domestic flight might be really good to watch for a temp gauge for the virus on US domestic flights. I would expect Korea to be the absolute best case scenario. I don't have a good sense of Japanese domestic travel is like with regard to air. Korea is really busy and cheap, kind of like the US, but maybe a little bit of a hotter market.

>>19563714
I'd be very surprised, but the market motions might imply this. I don't see it desu. Maybe Monday and Tuesday action will give us a better answer.
