How hard does /biz/ grind?

Lads, any of you into daytrading? Is it worth getting into it or nah? I know short term trading can work and it works for me, but from what I've heard most people lose more money than they gain when they daytrade. I'm not saying it can't work, I'm just curious whether it's worth getting into it. Trading usd/exotic currenty forex seems interesting fr fr no cap.

Any autists make it in the wagie world? Every time I've tried actually working I get debilitating panic attacks, and since there's so little on my resume it's nearly impossible to get anything but bottom-of-the-barrel retail jobs. I just quit the only job I could actually get in six months of job searching because I literally just stood on bare concrete in a hot room sorting clothes all day, it was one of the most miserable experiences of my entire life.

Hypothetically, say I want insurance against capital controls and bank collapses etc (I'm a schizo btw), and I don't own any crypto at the moment.
My plan is to set up a monero (ticker: XMR) hot wallet to receive XMR from exchange and then send to the cold wallet for storage.
Is there any reason to own bitcoin (ticker: BTC), other than speculation? Assuming governments get more tyrannical they can easily associate a BTC wallet to you, and see all the transactions you've made and how much BTC you have.
XMR's private, cheaper and more scalable. Sure BTC may moon in the meantime, but does anyone dispute than XMR is better schizo insurance?
