most people would probably read about it in their morning paper, make a snarky comment about it on twitter, and go to work. i think that's the intention behind this whole thing, is that it's meant to happen smoothly, instead of say nuclear doom or a stock market crash that ushers in an inflation crisis or whatever, the handover happens behind the scenes and only the small part of the population who pays attention to this stuff (i.e. us) has any clue that things have changed.

as far as 200 trillion being a big deal- well, part of that is the 55 billion XRP in escrow. out of the remaining 45 billion xrp a lot will be locked up in the ODL system and used for financial transactions so won't really have a big impact on the market (if i am conceptualizing this correctly) and much of what is left will be in Flare or Flare finance or held in wallets being speculated on. Only, say, 1 or 2 trillion will actually enter the fiat currency markets, and compared to, say, what the US pumps into Wall Street or the Pentagon on a yearly basis, that's not that big of a deal.
