Right? I love the atmosphere in it. Not sure how the ending will be, or potentially a season 2. Smugloli/a/nons who read the manga seems to have some disappointing opinions on where that heads, but probably unlikely the anime will adapt fully rather than just come with a happy ending and conclude the plot without a second season or following all the future manga arcs so I have decent hope. I'd still watch it even if the ending ends up scuffed though, it's a pretty funny show imo.

I think there's more than just that in most cases. I think it's a fatal mistake to see everything in black and white. Sometimes true, sometimes not. Anything else is fear for what can happen if people try to look at things objectively which is anti-scientific and something that causes backlash after a while. I am certain there are many people with biological causes, but environment must certainly be able to play a part in it too in some cases. I don't think that's an argument for making medical treatment harder though. People must be allowed to make mistakes in life, or at least given a chance to do what could be right for them regardless of cause.
No matter how few of them, there are and always will be people who are not trans in any way and using it as a cover for predatory behavior. I think rather than vehemently defending them in fear that if you don't you are next, these people should be shamed for their actions and distanced away. It is such a bad look every time someone is outed as being a fake tranny predator they are defended.

I don't see myself as someone with a true birth defect. I am a damaged individual from my environment. I know a lot of people in the same position as me will attack me for that statement claiming that they are oh so different, but most of them have similar backstories as me and just better at trying their hardest not to deep dive into their psychology because they know they won't like what they find.
