As you pointed out, if Chainlink can be:
>openly hiring AAA+ talent
>openly solving immense computer science problems
>openly deploying game changing technological solutions
>openly advertising connections with nothing short of the biggest names in banking and capital markets, while openly discussing the ongoing work with them
And yet NOBODY, out of all the VCs, talking heads, crypto "identities", investment influencers, etc etc etc is paying any attention, then what is actually going on?
It's like a jedi mind trick where they have waved their hand and told the entire planet that there's nothing to see here, and the only people that aren't under the spell are, like, 200 turbo autists who are now all in various stages of insanity as a result.
And if they can do this for Chainlink, if they can completely invert fiction and reality in the minds of 99.9% of people, what else are they doing it for?

So it's pretty safe to say that the govt deliberately cut the financial ties between tradfi and crypto because they knew shit was going to hit the fan.
Crypto represents an "escape hatch" for hyperinflationary fiat chaos, and they wanted to know that hatch was closed when everything went wrong.
Pretty clever, and probably justified, but it still won't work.
