Thinking of dumping most of my stocks and options at open whether they are up or down. Am considering sitting down and researching stocks I'm interested in and selecting 3 to 7 to go in on with 50% of my portfolio. Good or bad idea? Ive been chasing too many pumps, making erratic plays, and when I get in on a stock before it pumps I get confetti hands.

I got bamboozled by GE back in 2019. 1 penny as a dividend per share. That's not even 1% percent and im fairly sure robonbokd said something higher than 5%. Got stuck bagholding for quite a while. The percentage was shown as high on robinhood which has shown inaccurate numbers 1 too many times.
