For most anons, myself included, we spend our lives riding behind Theoden. A nameless man, for no great import, standing against near insurmountable odds. Ready to ride and fight a futile battle against an endless horde who want nothing more than to see him dead for the crime of existing. Not for honor or glory, but because it is right.

For this one moment, we get to see what it's like to be on the side of the endless, unstoppable horde. Now it's our enemies for which resistance is futile. There can be no victory, no escape, and the inevitable crushing defeat can only be delayed. Each day another bloody battle, throwing everything they can against the unyielding army just to survive one more night, and awaken the next morning to see the another horde march over the horizon.

I gotta say, it feels pretty good.
