I'm in a similar situation, my parents live in a ~$1MM home (that they paid half as much for, freaking boomers) and although I don't know the precise amount, I'd estimate they have around ~$2MM in savings and investments (my dad started investing in Apple in the late 80s)

I would never wish my parents ill and I hope they live long, happy lives. The money they have is theirs to spend and if they blow it all on fancy vacations or spend it all on end-of-life care, that's their prerogative.

but it's weird being in my late 20s, feeling poor, living with a roommate and eating like a broke college student, wagecucking and struggling, while knowing that someday I will potentially become an overnight millionaire, and that all of my wagecucking and crypto investing struggling was ultimately pointless

but if my parents started giving me money now, I'd just stop working and be a full-time NEET, so I guess I have to outlive them before I can live life as the disappointment I always wanted to be
