ITT: Tinder business model

I can't think of a more genius/scummy business model than Tinder. My wife left me a while back, so I tried it for the first time in around ~5 years. My conclusions are that its primary customer base is desperate men, and the product is the women who sign up.
The monetization the past few years is blatantly exploitative to men particularly:
> Want to know if she is ignoring you or just hasn't seen your message? Pay $3 for a read receipt.
> Want to be able to swipe more then 10 times per day? Pay $13 per week. (Most men need to swipe significantly more than the average women to even get a match)
> Pay $10 for 'super like' snake oil, that when it comes down to it, doesn't make you more attractive to the woman you gave it to. If anything, it reeks of desperation. You might get a right swipe out of pity/curiosity.
