>Management Fires me on PIP
>Get new job at another industrial site
>Lead Engineer can't read micrometers
>I measure shims and fix equipment alignment problems Expecting performance recognition.
>Get given a more (((Challenging Problem)))
>Complete leak design calculations using C++ and Excel then go out and weld pipe to speed things up.

Any manager /biz/ bros here? Can you hear me out and give me some advice?

>Be me, 1st year in a manufacturing job
>suck and hate it, get chewed out by boss couple times for sucking
>see opening for new role that I want
>talk to that manager to get more info
>now I have to tell my current manager that I want to move
Would managers generally be supportive of his members that are underperforming moving to a different dept? If he wants me gone without firing me and I move to a different dept I feel like that would be a win win. Or would he be a dick and tell the new manager that I suck and shoudn't move?

>co-workers keep trying to exceed the KPIs management sets for us
>now management have said they want us to complete 14 new deals a day instead of 12
>everybody hates it but they keep trying to hit the KPIs anyway
>management’s excuse is ‘we did a study overtime and from the numbers we can see 14 new deals a day is achievable’
>technically it is but you have to rush through everything like a dog
>a couple years ago it used to be 9 deals a day
>there reasoning for going from 9 to 12 was that our computer system hadn’t been programmed to pick up issues with an application that needed to be addressed
>the truth is they were never hard to pick up anyway
What are you supposed to do in this situation? Change jobs? How do you make sure you don’t end up in the same spot you are in just with a different employer?

>muh productivity
If faggot companies and executives want more productivity don't punish your staff for it. You've created an environment where the optimal move is to do just enough to keep your job while never going above and beyond.
>do more work
>get assigned more work
>feedback loop continues until you're doing 10x more than the average coworker, but now you're counted on to do so much that if you ever slack off management instantly notices and is on your ass about it even if you're still doing 8x more than the average coworker who is flying under management's radar
>for all of your trouble you will get a 3% annual raise instead of the standard 2.5%
>also that promotion you wanted went to your slacker coworker who goes golfing with the boss every couple weeks and is in the same fantasy football league as him
>sorry Wagie of the Year, we can't promote you because you're too valuable to the company in your current role
As for my productivity, you're getting exactly the same out of me (just enough to keep my job) whether I'm in the office or at home. The difference is I will find a new job at a company that embraces remote work if you try to make me report to an office while working remotely means I'm too comfy and lazy to bother with job searching. That's how much I hate dealing with HR roasties, it's enough to discourage me from applying to jobs short of extreme circumstances. My skills earn enough to live well with any company in my industry and you couldn't pay me enough to move back to some pozzed shithole city so I can report to the wage cage again. Thus, the #1 priority becomes 100% WFH.

Normally, we've heard what the yearly bonus multiplier is going to be, by now. We have billions under management. Or had.

We're fucked, and boss man is just thinking of the best way to break the news, right? Nobody actually has any money and the tide is just about gone. It was nice knowing you, /biz/ bros. I'll see you in the Vegas tunnels.

You missed the point of the exercise. OP list is the absolute bare minimum that you have to cover in order to not be homeless or unable to get anywhere. You can also add to the list school debt and medical expenses. What you listed are hedonistic pleasures which are extras.
