Tracking real life events that effect the market. Obviously the native peoples getting disgruntled and blocking the rail ways will have impacts on the market. Is there anyway to get ahead of the market and possibly predict a black swan event?

There was loads of time to get in the market. Worst case scenario you lose small. Hindsight of course is 20/20.
What if you closely monitored many companies and tried to figure out what their strategic weakness are. What threatens them. Things like large weather events, landslides, etc. etc. and closely watch for those. Perhaps with police scanners and weather maps?
