How do I safely 10x 200k over 20 years without crypto?

I make $8k a month after tax and have to move to Toronto now due to retarded RTO shit. Is it worth just biting the bullet and paying $2.5k a month for a one bedroom or do I risk it with having roommates?

Is it really true that software dev resumes getting 0 callbacks now were swimming in offers just 2-3 years ago? I just graduated and feel like I missed the generational top.

One of my university acquaintances, who I was definitely stronger than, lucked into an ASIC internship in 2019 and was able to leverage that to eventually got hired at NVIDIA at exactly January 2023. He's definitely a multimillionaire now while I'm stuck in $110k/yr wage cage hell.
