Gold is only a good inflation hedge after 100+ years(you won't live that long). Also don't Pms get taxed as regular income? Furthermore if inflation is what you're worried about just invest in energy stocks/etfs. 2020-2022 proved that energy is much more of an effective inflation hedge than Pms. Also gold is heavily affected by the strength of the dollar(different from inflation). If the strength of the dollar is still there than gold goes down even with inflation,look at gold prices recently they fell even with record inflation
