People aren't holding crypto that long, and it will only be worth it's present value if it's actually used, which it won't be, because the slightly faster transactions aren't necessary/useful yet.

If people switched to a new coin every time something slightly useful maybe sometime in the future came out the first Proof of Stake coin would have been a money train, but it isn't.

An anonymous crypto currency will be the next big thing, barring major innovation elsewhere.

If it gains more than the handful of users it has now, I would expect the market cap to be fucking booming. If it is a popular choice when people seek privacy I wouldn't be surprised to see $5/coin.
