At first i also thought it was a maple kind of leaf, but upon closer inspection i now believe it was a birb, which is commonly used as silver hallmarks.
I didn't win the auction anyway, so i stopped my investigation.
It's ok though, to comfort myself i just received my lot of 1750's silverware from Louis XV's Versailles set. The finesse and craft is just incredible, truly the masterpieces of my humble tableware collection. I'm gonna eat my lidl crap like a king for real now kek.
