I'm sick of jumping around from job to job with no direction bros. I'm about to be 29 and still live with my folks in a high COL blue-state, so saving money isn't an issue, but I'm seriously considering starting a career in IT or some kind of tech environment. I'm currently as wastewater operator, and while the work is mostly chill, I'll only be making 75k after 12 years of working in this union. I make $19/h to start, the field is recession-proof, and the pay will go up faster as I get licensed, but the payscale for tech is that much higher than what I'll make when I max out. Should I get IT / Webdev certs and start there, or should I just stick with this career until the MOASS tendies pour in??
