What would Sisyphus do if the boulder stayed there instead of rolling back down the hill? Or better yet he reached the top. Would he sit at the bottom and contemplate what next? Who is he without the boulder? Would he push it back down and willfully start again? Would he create science to move the boulder faster?

I think what we're most scared of is this. There is no end, only means.

>be me
>have $1000 in crypto on an exchange
>check the exchange's top gainers for that day
>check each one's most-zoomed-in chart to see which one currently has a clear, solid upwards momentum in price
>buy in
>wait until line goes up high enough for me to sell and get 2% more than I had before (not including trading fees), or $1020
>sell
>repeat this several hundred times once or twice a day over the course of a year or two, until I have millions of dollars
Before you attack me, yes I'm aware that sometimes as soon as you buy in the price may stop rising or might slowly sink, or even outright crash
But given that I'm consistently buying into upwards momentum, aren't price crashes less likely to happen and therefore whatever crashes I buy into will eventually be made up for with the more likely overall gains I'd be getting?
Help me understand

I have never met a wholesale crypto believer with a deep understanding of the questions and problems at the heart of crypto.
Everyone who holds crypto gets into arguments about implementation specifics, nobody questions the merits on the whole thing.
Crypto holders, universally, regurgitate the same small handful of headlines-based praises that are no deeper than what you would learn from reading a small handful of hyped and biased newspaper articles, then falling into the misapprehension that you actually understand what you're talking about.
Knowing this, crypto is absolutely destined to fail.
