i googled it and gimp actually has some animation filters, so it might even be easier than keyframing by hand. Haven't tried GIMP in years though, UI was too cramped for me to use.

i hadn't actually considered that so much, since i tend to avoid options, but maybe i'll take a closer look at some relatively safe choices. personally I just like biomemes because I can generally be confident in understanding their pipelines slightly more than I would the proceedings of and demand for, say, an electric car manufacturer, or a physical uranium mine. kek, although understanding is hardly the same thing as predicting success
