Not 1-2 years, more like 1-3 months. For major stacks, I wouldn't mess with top 100 until you're well into the six figures. The opportunity cost is just way too high. I limit myself to Rank 300 and under.
Ideally, you want to systematically go through every single New Coingecko listing on the daily, as well as all uniswap coins with less than an x3 movement from absolute bottom in the last 2-3 months. Scouring /biz/ for major stack opportunities is an okay first step, being in highly active Telegram groups with high-trust people is a better second step, doing the research on your own is a much better third step. The chances of you making money increase as you go further that path. It's really not that complicated once you get down to it.
