Yeah I think it's a terrible idea overall - huge waste of power for no real benefit.
The novelty of BTC implemented within ERC20 is kind of cute though, and it has Bitcoin in the name so I fully expect it to go 10x+

Personally I think 0xBTC is kind of dumb and redundant...

But people fucking LOVE cryptos with Bitcoin in the name.
The fact it's the first (?) properly mineable ERC20 is sort of novel too.

Mining ontop of Eth is so wasteful though, feels like a gigantic waste of energy.
