This probably belongs on /news but it's important to /biz. I don't know what the final tax bill will look like but the senate version removes an individual's ability to select which lots to sell from. The cost basis would come from some kind of average or FIFO.
If I had been buying over time, I would start selling my dogs and move towards mutual. I don't know how this would affect large investors but they probably have the ability to buy analogs that track together.
/Biz seems be focused on crypto-currency though. I remember seeing an article about how to integrate crypto-currencies into existing markets. This would shift the question to 'why'. I doubt moving to a foreign broker would help. I would probably need to incorporate myself to control my investments after this. Mutual funds, I guess.
