i think its always been one of my favorites. that may be partly to do with the fact that, when i was young, a dollars worth of quarters felt heavy and substantial in the hand.
and i could go to the corner store and buy a handful of things
for a dollar i could get a small bag of chips, a candy bar, a coke, and have 15 or 20 cents leftover.
and a fifty cent piece back then, heck that felt like a 20 dollar gold coin to me at the time
