USDA is 0% down with no minimum credit score, but they will review your credit and potentially reject you if you're below 640

FHA is 3.5% down and you only need a score of 580

when i was young and broke i went FHA + down payment assistance - check state/local programs to see if any DPA programs exist

housing is not out of reach unless you're looking to buy in expensive metro areas

Rather than do all that yapping why don't you just ask for a price-to-income ratio map?

Homes aren't meant for an "average worker". They are meant for married families, the majority with dual incomes. An average worker on a single income can buy a condo or rent an apartment.

People are willing to make sacrifices (be "house poor") to live in places with amenities and entertainment, especially places where the weather is great all year.

cheap credit was pulled by the fed, without cheap credit you can't afford a house that is 7x your income

high rates force people to look into more affordable areas
