Can someone share their experience with investing in REITs and/or real estate operating industry? I've got some picks, but I want to know what I'm getting into before I commit to this strategy. I'm hoping this is one way to have monthly income flow in, and reinvest it, and snowball.

What are the risks of REITs? The cons? Do you have a REIT portfolio or is it part of a larger strategy you use?
