If you’re investing in PMs why would you want to sell them for the same price you paid? If you want to be able to do that or immediately liquidate, then invest in paper gold & silver. If what you’re real inquiry was, why should you buy physical PMs, it’s inherently a longer term hold. Usually, physical PMs are insurance, not necessarily an investment. PMs are a hedge against inflation and an insurance against currency collapse. Physical possession comes with a premium (as well as the anonymity of purchasing metals with cash).
