Argumentation:
Why isn't Chainlink the solution to the oracle problem? The oracle problem states that there is no trustless and secure way to transfer data onto the blockchain and retain end-to-end reliability. Chainlink does not rely on game theory and it isn't trustless. Reputation systems and listing services are literally about building and projecting trust for the customer. Compare that to Bitcoin nodes, you can turn up a bitcoin node and start mining away, earning BTC and pure game theory will keep you in check. Not even 51% attacks are profitable, in a big enough ecosystem they aren't even possible. It's different with Chainlink. The customer does not know that he can trust you, you have to BUILD trust in order to get into the selection of nodes that will provide him with data and computation for his contracts. Reputation systems and listing services will require you to fill in KYC, so you can prove that your node is only yours and when something goes wrong, the customer can sue. This is again TRUST in the government and legal system, totally in contrast to the idea of Bitcoin. It's a trick that Sergey played on you. Most people use trust and reputation interchangeably.
