Nope. Even if home values drop by half, rents won't fall by more than 20%. Supply hasn't changed, renters' (in)ability to be approved for or pay for a mortgage hasn't changed, and landlords are still on the hook for the same mortgage payments, so arbitrage will be minimal

These shows are about increasing home value by improving the home itself, not buying and passively waiting for the price to go up after a year. Unironically, it's healthy for the economy that so many folks get involved with this (actually flipping, not sitting on the couch watching shows about flipping all day). The people who rent won't do it themselves, but they will pay 50% of their income to live in a fixed-up foreclosure house instead of living with their parents. If someone else doesn't do it for them though, they stay with their parents, and the empty house falls into disrepair

Here's how it plays out

>be crypto rich
>decide to get married
>wife is a normie and wants to wagecuck
>no job, so whatever I want while she works
>she gets home and talks about work, which you don't want to hear
>gets mad you don't make dinner
>gets mad you don't have a job

I don't see any path to being happily married if you're a crypto rich neet. One, you wouldn't want to spend too much money, two you'd be expected to be a house husband, three she'd drone on about work

But then if she doesn't work then she'd waste your money... Eventually you'd get a divorce and she'd want half your corn.
