I proceed to watch the breadcrumbs flow and start to understand what LINK does but I didn't have the courage to get the un-subsidized loan from the FAFSA and go all-in. I manage to use the little bit I can save from my measly $800 SSDI after monthly expenses and get 664 LINK at an average price of $1.34. I start to covet my link as graduation approaches in June of this year. I graduate in the top of my class with a 3.87 GPA. Which doesn't really say much because it is a community college. Anyway, literally on graduation LINK is pumping looking like it's going to go to $3-4. My 664 LINK are now a few grand. I think of the possibilities of it hitting $1k EOY. I tell my parents all about it and they are receptive. My 68 yo boomer mom is interested in crypto but more specifically blockchain and how it's going to affect the internet. I give my poor man's description of a smart contract and how a LINK work's in the process. She get's interested once I tell her Oracle and Google are involved in some way. Someone in my family died. They lived with my mom. I had to move from ABQ, NM to Oregon to live with my mom because she is old and shouldn't live alone. Mom is hounding me about finishing writing a book that I started in 2015. I say fuck it and decide to finish it. I spend the first few months after graduation working on it everyday. I complete it. It's only 90k words and 200+ pages but 50k constitutes the qualifications for a novel. So it's respectable shut up dick. Mom is stoked and thinking about ways to sell the book. Says she'll publish it on Amazon under her company name to make it look like I have a publisher. Then she finds out the family member who died left her some insurance money. It's a decent amount, too. She says, "Anon, wouldn't it be great if you got your Master's?" I was like yeah but student loans for graduate school are un-subsidized so I'll pay more in interest. She offers to pay for a program if I can find one for 15k. (2/4)
