That's retarded. Picrel. And there's very little "numismatic value" to speak of with regards to a "5 Reichsmark" coin UNLESS it's in super good condition. We appreciate them because they're cool to us, but strictly numismatic-value-wise-speaking "5 Reichsmark" coins are absolutely not rare coins at all. And you can find them on ebay and elsewhere for prices much closer to the actual silver-content value, than $40 which is an EXTREME premium - especially considering he didn't even get to see a photo of the specific coin that he's getting; it's an ebay coin lottery, if he's unlucky he gets one that looks like shit. It would be cool to pay $40 for a super nice looking 5 Reichsmark IF one just wants a really nice-looking one, BUT just buying one as an investment and getting a random one and paying $40 is to be brutally honest a very shit deal.
