Like previously mentioned, at times their premiums can be reasonable compared to private bullion shops. If as a Canadian you're in your bank talking to advisors about metals they would obviously offer their services. It's also displayed as the first few results if you Google precious metals.

Tldr there are options to purchase bullion elsewhere besides a bank, but one of the biggest store/sources will not be selling to those who don't hand over their documents to them.
