>The west has its flaws, but they do have their allies.
You make a good point, and I agree that China's greatest weakness right now is its lack of authentic allies. They've got who, North Korea? Iran, on a good day? Nothing comparable to NATO. The best they can do is spam UN resolutions with all the shitty African companies now on their dime. Russians and them pretend to be friends sometimes though.

>Finally, do not conflate the "reality" that you surmise on this Portugese underwater basketweaving forum as the best or the brightest the west has to offer or the source of their only hope.
sure, but I'm a zoomer who is starting to learn Chinese and it's really worrying to me that there are CCP ideologues like Wang Huning out there, that we know have informed a whole generation of leadership and are extremely influential political advisors, but we don't translate ANY of it into English. The Chinese read Schmitt, they read De Tocqueville, they read the Federalist Papers, but we don't even glance at the Chinese equivalents. I have to learn their language just to get started.

And this may sound cringe but I've found 4chan to be a genuinely good place of discussion, posts are higher quality and generally have a lot more critical thinking than any other english language social media site. If even 4chan is blind about the China threat than I don't even want to know what the retards on FB or Twitter think. Maybe the racism here makes them uniquely bad at China talk.
